Lumi is a product developed by Opaper, Inc., based in Palo Alto, California, USA. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website, platform, APIs, and AI-based services.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Name, email, password, company (if applicable), and related data.
  • User Input & Content: Prompts, uploaded documents, files, or interactions with AI services.
  • Usage Data: Logs, feature usage, clickstream data, and interaction analytics.
  • Device & Technical Info: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, location (approximate).
  • Payment Info: Collected and processed by secure third-party processors (e.g., Stripe).
  • Social Login Data: If you sign in using a third-party platform (e.g., Google, Facebook, Apple), we may collect certain profile information as permitted by that platform's API.
  • Business Partner Data: We may receive contact or company information from integration or reseller partners and use it to offer or improve the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver and improve our AI-powered services and products;
  • To personalize experiences and user interfaces;
  • To monitor, debug, and enhance performance, scalability, and reliability;
  • To train and fine-tune AI models where permitted (see Section 5);
  • To communicate product updates, support, or legal notices.

3. API & Third-Party Services

Lumi integrates with third-party APIs and services, such as AI model providers, analytics platforms, and (if applicable) mapping tools like Google Maps. By using features that rely on these APIs, you agree to their respective privacy policies, including the Google Privacy Policy for map-related services.

4. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:

  • Infrastructure and hosting partners (e.g., AWS, Vercel);
  • AI model providers or partners under strict confidentiality agreements;
  • Government authorities when required by law or to defend our legal rights.

5. AI Model Training and Data Usage

By default, we do not use your personal data or user-generated content to train public AI models.

If we request to use anonymized input/output data for internal fine-tuning or quality improvement, we will explicitly seek your consent. Any training-related usage will:

  • Be anonymized and aggregated;
  • Exclude sensitive or personal identifiers;
  • Respect jurisdictional privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

6. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We comply with international transfer rules including GDPR mechanisms like Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

  • Withdraw consent at any time, where applicable;
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. CCPA Notice (California Residents)

We do not sell your data. Under the CCPA, California residents may request:

  • Disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information collected;
  • Deletion of personal information (subject to legal exceptions);
  • Information about disclosures to third parties.

Lumi is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe we have received such data, contact us to delete it.

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by posting an updated version on our site or sending a notice via email.

13. Language

This Privacy Policy is written in English. If translations are provided for convenience, the English version will control in case of conflict or ambiguity.
